Rosneft Chief Executive Officer Igor Sechin held a meeting with Governor of the Tver region Igor Rudenya during which they discussed a wide range of issues of cooperation between the Company and the region.
In accordance with the Cooperation Agreement signed by the parties last April joint development of multi-functional roadside servicing zones on M-11 highway (Moscow – St. Petersburg). In total, construction and operation of at least 6 fueling stations in the Tver region is planned.
Igor Sechin and Igor Rudenya discussed the implementation progress of the Agreement. Also, the parties have shared opinions on aspects of cooperation in social and research areas. Rosneft takes part in construction of a kindergarten in Khotilovo, Bologovsky District. The new building of the kindergarten meeting all the standards is designed for up to 100 places.
Commenting on the meeting, Igor Sechin emphasized the importance of Rosneft retail network development plans in the Tver region as well as providing region consumers with high quality oil products.
Following the meeting results, Igor Rudenya said: «We have agreed to continue work on the social sphere development programme in the Tver region. After launching the kindergarten, this year we also plan to proceed to reconstruction of a school and building a new facility with a swimming pool and a computer class. Therefore, proper infrastructure for high-quality educational process and sport activities in Khotilovo will be created.»
The parties noted the high level of cooperation on issues of mutual interest and reviewed prospects of further cooperation.
