Saratov Refinery, an enterprise of Rosneft Oil Company's refining complex, started producing Euro-5 diesel with the new additive manufactured in Russia. The additive was designed by Rosneft specialists as a part of the import substitution programme. The performance characteristics of the diesel and its production effectiveness will increase due to high-tech product use.
Technological potential development is one of the key items of the Rosneft 2022 Strategy. The Company pays special attention to innovation and breakthroughs, recognising the technological leadership as an essential element for competitive performance on the oil market. The Company pays special attention to the implementation of the import substitution programme which includes the development and production of the own additives and catalysts for refining.
The new additive has high consumer properties surpassing the imported counterparts in the range of indicators. After the research conducted the All-Russian Research Institute for Oil Refining gave a positive conclusion, noticing that the additive highly improves the maximum filtration temperature of the inter-season and winter diesel and keeps its performance characteristics while storing at low temperatures.
