Rosneft Presents a New Tourist Route in the Orenburg Region

12 September 2024

Rosneft and the Ministry of Economic Development, Investments, Tourism and External Relations of the Orenburg Region presented a new route for car tourists – «Relict Pearl». It leads from Orenburg to the unique natural object - Buzuluksky Bor National Park.

Rosneft is committed to the development of domestic motor tourism and aims to create comfortable conditions for car travellers. One of Rosneft’s key objectives is to enhance the quality of its roadside assistance and customer service at its filling stations.

The route was presented at the Bashneft (a subsidiary of Rosneft) filling station in Orenburg and at the regional tourism development centre. All participants in the event received brochures describing the tourist attractions of the region. The car tourists learned about the routes already created by Rosneft for car trips, as well as about the information and service platform «Horizons of Russia: Ride with us!». There was also an informative quiz with prizes for customers at the filling stations.

The 285km Relict Pearl route takes in the Orenburg region’s landmarks and its most picturesque natural landscapes. On the way tourists can visit the Buzuluksky Bor National Park, the largest relic forest area in the steppe Eurasia with an age of about 10 thousand years. The park is home to one of the oldest trees in Russia, the Tsarina Pine, which is over 300 years old. The autoroute also passes through unique natural sites, Dendrosad and the Borovaya Experimental Station, the reconstruction of which is supported by Orenburgneft.

Tourists will also be interested in the famous suspension bridge over the Ural River, which connects the banks of the river on different continents – Asia and Europe. Another unique attraction is the ancient Holy Caves in the Novosergievsky District, one of the most important pilgrimage sites in the region.

The Relict Pearl route runs along the M-5 federal highway, and there are Bashneft filling stations along the way, where travellers can fill up their cars with quality guaranteed fuel, have a comfortable rest in a cafe, or buy goods needed along the way, including locally produced goods and souvenirs.

Bashneft’s filling station network in the region comprises 89 stations. Rosneft’s retail network is the largest in the Russian Federation in terms of geographical coverage and number of stations, and the Rosneft filling station brand is one of the leaders in Russia in terms of recognition and fuel quality. The Company operates approximately 3,000 filling stations.

Earlier, Rosneft signed memorandums on cooperation in the development of domestic tourism with the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Moscow City Tourism Committee, the Krasnoyarsk and Altai Territories, the Republic of Udmurtia, and the Arkhangelsk, Samara, Voronezh and Ulyanovsk Regions, and the Stavropol Territory.

Rosneft launched a special information and service platform «Horizons of Russia: Come along!» in 2023. Several regions of the country, including Moscow, Moscow Oblast, St. Petersburg, Voronezh, Tula, Ulyanovsk and Arkhangelsk Oblast, have previously joined the “Horizons of Russia” project.
