Rosneft Signs an Agreement on Cooperation in Education & Training Domain with ONGC Videsh Ltd Being the Coordinator of a Group of Indian Oil and Gas Companies
15 October 2016Rosneft and ONGC Videsh Ltd – being the coordinator of a group of leading Indian oil and gas companies comprising ONGC Videsh Ltd, Oil India Limited, Indian Oil Corporation, Indian Oil Corporation Limited, Bharat PetroResources Limited, and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited – signed a cooperation agreement in the field of education & training at the BRICS summit. The documents were signed in the presence of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and the Prime Minister of the Republic of India Narendra Modi.
The signed documents provide for possible training of the companies' specialists at the educational institutions of the Russian Federation and the Republic of India including corporate training centers, programs of higher and further education in the key areas of the oil and gas industry. In addition, the agreements envisage the exchange of knowledge and experience including the issues of technologies’ development in the oil and gas sector during meetings, conferences and joint round tables.
Commenting the agreement signed, Igor Sechin noted the increasing role of education in the development of oil and gas industry, and Rosneft interest in high-quality training for the joint projects of the companies.
