During the XXII St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Rosneft and SUEZ Groupe SAS signed a Strategic Cooperation Agreement.

The document provides for R&D cooperation between the parties aimed to develop competencies and institutional, intellectual, technical and technological infrastructure to support Rosneft enterprises in the area of water use, wastewater disposal and waste treatment.

In addition, the agreement provides for possible introduction of SUEZ technologies for oil and gas production, including innovative developments focused on enhanced oil recovery and treatment of produced heavy water at some fields of Rosneft.
