Orenburgneft (part of the Rosneft production complex) organized the Best in Profession professional skills competition among employees of transport enterprises in the Orenburg region.

The event was attended by 40 drivers from 12 organizations providing transport services to the largest oil producing enterprise in the region. The competition is aimed at increasing the level of professional skills, strengthening transport discipline and creating conditions for the exchange of experience among workers of transport enterprises in the region.

Rosneft prioritizes safety issues, including the creation of a safe transportation environment in the regions where it operates and improvement of driving culture. The company organizes training for drivers and passengers, equips vehicles with safety systems, uses digital monitoring systems and implements regulations in the field of transport safety.

During the competition, drivers competed in four categories: Best Passenger Car Driver, Best Truck Driver, Best Bus Driver and Best Truck Crane Operator. The theoretical part included testing knowledge of traffic rules, design and maintenance of vehicles, as well as labor protection knowledge.

Drivers who successfully passed the theory test then demonstrated driving skills. Practical engagements were as close as possible to real-life situations, which allowed the jury to objectively assess the contestants’ ability to cope with various work tasks. The competition is one of the most effective methods of improving drivers’ motivation and qualification.

«Orenburgneft» is making a contribution to the increase in the level of road safety in the region. The company repairs settlement roads running through the licence areas, provides special equipment for dam construction and road clearing, which generally improves the level of transport accessibility in the Orenburg region.

The enterprise’s employees carry out various preventive activities and actions in order to prevent road accidents. A «Safe Bus» campaign is currently being conducted jointly with the State Automobile Inspectorate to improve the safety of passenger transport and control the technical condition of transport. «Orenburgneft» carries out large-scale information work, including among schoolchildren and young people of the «Movement of the First», on the need to comply with traffic rules.
